A moment with kelp dancers

Inspired by their movement, this photographic series captures a moment in time spent with the most iconic pinniped, the California sea lion (Zalophus californianus).

Be the movement

A story that I've always wanted to tell. A story of power and vulnerability. A story of the asymmetries of knowledge, practice, trade and conservation. A story of the blue shark (Prionace glauca), the most exploited species of shark across the globe.

The secret lives of tompot blennies

Possibly one of my favourite fish to find, and photograph. A species with such elaborate life history behaviours, and not to mention iconic looks. This story touches upon the fascinating mating and reproductive behaviours of the tompot blenny (Parablennius gattorugine).

When two worlds collide

Another personal, conservation story. This story details my first ever encounter with a female, grey nurse shark (Carcharias taurus) and shares some of their fascinating behaviours, as well as their many stressors.
